What I'm Loving: June

Hello fellow souls,

Happy post-Summer Solstice and pre-Capricorn full moon. I hope you’ve been sensing and leaning into the energy of new light, joy, and transformation that is this time. After the potent months of stirred-up change, death and rebirth, and inner turmoil from March through May, June has been a month for light, love, joy, and time for play and processing after all that depth.

My leaning into that was a magical trip back to Costa Rica for 11 days with my beloved. Sharing my soul’s home and the grandmother medicine Ayahuasca with him was such a gift. Just grounding back now, and am here to share what’s been guiding and expanding me this month,

What I’m Reading

The Alchemist by Paul Coelho. This came in to reread, so heart and mind-opening and timely. A poetic, archetypal fable of the labyrinth journey of the self towards one’s soul purpose.

Secrets of Divine Love by A. Helwa. I was surprised by how much this pulled me in. In line with my recent magnetism to the history of the ancients, including Roman, Greek, Egyptian, and Persian cultures, I came across this book on Islam and the Qur’an. It’s a beautifully read, poetically transmitted nondual/Sufism/spiritual look at one of the world’s oldest sacred books and belief systems that transcends dogma/religion.

Pythagorean Sourcebook and Library by Kenneth Guthrie. A man that few know yet who developed much of the knowledge and schools of thought of Western culture and influenced the more widely-known philosophers like Plato and Aristotle. Born in Greece in 570 BC, much of his life was spent traveling to the civilizations of that time including Egypt, Persia, India, and Rome, to study with the wisest philosophers, priests, mathematicians, and astrologers across cultures and religions.

The word person comes from Latin, its original meaning is the word mask. The mask that actors used to wear in ancient theater. The word consists of two parts. Per, through and son, sound. The mask through which the actor speaks and sound comes through. Your primary task is to transcend that in this lifetime. Because that’s part of the evolution of the universe, consciousness coming in. - Eckhart Tolle

Sell your cleverness and buy bewilderment. For at the end of all you know is the beginning of your journey to God. - Rumi
